5. The New American Standard Bible

The New American Standard Bible (NASB) is a modern translation of the Bible. It was first published in 1971. And, many consider it one of the most accurate translations from the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts.

It conforms closely to the original language. The NASB is also renowned for its literal style.

As a result, this makes it a favored translation for those looking for an exact rendering of the scriptures.

A further advantage of the NASB is that it uses more current English.  In other words, people understand it easier, compared to older versions.

Updates are constant. With the updating, it stays current with advances in Biblical scholarship and scholarly discoveries. You can be sure that it remains an authoritative source for years to come.

Not to discount the others, but the NASB is my personal favorite. Most of the Making Christ Known Bible study lessons come from this one.
