Doing a Reset for a Better Life | Pastor Rick Warren Video for Restarting Life

A question; Have you thought about restarting your life but you’re not sure where to begin? The world has changed dramatically in the last year. You have changed, too; you’ve developed some new patterns, some new habits. But instead of resuming the way you used to live, God is giving you an opportunity for a total reset. In this message, Pastor Rick Warren lays out four biblical steps for resetting your life and getting a fresh start.

Restarting Life: Insights from Rick Warren’s Video on Doing a Reset

In his video “Doing a Reset for a Better Life,” Pastor Rick Warren explores the concept of making a plan to achieve personal growth and fulfillment. Then, he emphasizes the importance of making intentional changes to improve one’s quality of life.

Biblical Foundation

Warren supports his message with several Bible references. He highlights 2 Corinthians 5:17, which states,

“If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

This verse underlines the idea of becoming a new person through faith and transformation. Additionally, Philippians 3:13-14 is cited, where Paul talks about forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead.

Practical Steps for a Fresh Start

Warren outlines practical steps for resetting one’s life. He suggests setting clear goals and making actionable plans to achieve them. By evaluating personal values and priorities, individuals can focus on what truly matters. Warren also stresses the importance of seeking support from community and faith for accountability and encouragement.

Embracing Change with Faith

The video encourages embracing change with a positive outlook and faith. Warren underscores that while starting anew can be challenging, it is possible with God’s guidance and strength. He references Isaiah 43:19,

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”

This verse reinforces the belief that God is always at work, bringing about renewal and hope.

Motivation for Restarting Life

Rick Warren’s video provides a motivational guide for those looking to restart their lives. By integrating faith with practical steps, individuals can embark on a journey of personal and spiritual growth. His use of biblical teachings offers a solid foundation for those seeking to make meaningful changes.

  1. Pastor I hope you can see this. I want to say thank you. Your sermons are my meditation. I’ve been listening to it over and over again at work ang when I sleep. I made a playlist of your sermons and listen to them as medidation. I can almost memorize them. Thank you pastor for making the bible easier to understand and relatable. Thank u for sharing God’s words without judgement and being a perfectionist. I love you pastor. I hope one day I can see you and say thank you for changing my mindset and life. Thank you for making me closer to God

  2. Thank for this great message. I always watch your sermon and grow up little by little.
Definally I’m in for a better life and won’t waste the rest of my life anymore.
    Thank you so much.
My name is Su Kyoung Nam and live in Korea.

  3. I reset last May;
•Unplugged the TV (no cable, saving $100/month).
•Got OFF of Facebook and all social media – eliminated stress, anger, irritations and knowing or caring what anyone else was doing, or what their opinions about everything was.
•Changed Diet, lost 40 pounds, got healthy, reversed illness.
    •Work out twice a week.
•Consistently (daily) watch healthy videos, sermons, prayers on YouTube (I choose the program & there’s no shocking, unsavory commercials).
•Praying without ceasing (morning, noon, night). Praying for others, myself.
    •Be GRATEFUL for everything.
•Do things I “never had time for” that I enjoy.
•I have no stress, no worries,
no angst, more energy, sleep all night, no anger or short temper. I have learned and know that God loves me and has me in the palm of His hand.
    •Purged my closets and cabinets.
•Cleaned my house, set a schedule to keep it clean.

I believe Covid, although it has very bad points, is a two-edged sword and came with many opportunities and other gifts.

I took being sent to work from home as a Gift from God – a chance to do better, be a better person, a better Christian, help those I can.

It’s refreshing to hear this Pastor openly discuss what has happened in our world & teach us how to move forward, and be better.

    Thank you!

  4. I agree with Reset my interior life to be with Jesus and with Jesus doing His will at His time. Living a Mary spirit in the Martha world. I selected being with Jesus my day by day habit, practicing the awareness of being in the presence of God day by day while being with other people for the sake of others. So I can love others in my home or office or school as Jesus loves me
