What about the “Doors” We Walk Through? Pastor Rick Warren Explains on Video
In our Christian lives, we face choosing doors everyday. But, how do we know which we should choose? Doors have great spiritual significance in the Bible.
In fact, there are about 400 references to doors in Scripture, ranging from a gateway to opportunity to a door to salvation. In this message, Pastor Rick tells us what we need to know about the doors in our life. You’ll learn why every door is a decision, and how our destiny will be shaped by which doors we pass by and which ones we walk through. Finally, find how to distinguish between doors of opportunities and doors of distractions.
Understanding Life’s Choices
In the video Choosing Which Doors You’ll Walk Through, Pastor Rick Warren discusses the importance of decision-making in life. He emphasizes that our choices define the course of our lives. Warren explains that every door represents a new opportunity, challenge, or test. He urges viewers to be mindful of the doors they choose to walk through.
God-Given Opportunities
Warren highlights that not all doors are from God. Using Revelation 3:8, he reminds us that God opens doors no one can shut and closes doors no one can open. These doors represent divine opportunities that can lead to growth and purpose. It’s essential to discern which doors are from God.
Avoiding Temptation
In addition, Warren warns about doors of temptation. He references 1 Corinthians 10:13, stating that God provides a way out of every temptation. These doors may seem attractive but can lead to harm. Warren advises praying for wisdom before walking through any door.
Trusting God’s Direction
Pastor Warren also encourages trust in God’s plan. Proverbs 3:5-6 is used to support this, reminding believers to trust God with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding. God will make paths straight if we seek Him in our choices.
We Need Prayer, Wisdom, and Trust in God
In conclusion, Choosing Which Doors You’ll Walk Through highlights the need for prayer, wisdom, and trust in God when making life decisions. Pastor Warren stresses the importance of choosing doors aligned with God’s will for our lives. Transitioning with faith is key to following God’s plan.

From 26 years of legalistic spiritual life, God used Pastor Rick Warren to introduce me to the loving God and answer the old age question what on earth am i here for. God bless Saddleback Church for spreading the truth– that we are here for a purpose — to be loved by God and to love Him in return. This truth changed my life forever.

Dear Pastor John and Pastor Rick,
Greeting in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I’m writing to you from Singapore. I thank God for the inspiring sermon you have place on YouTube.
My name is Ivan Chong and I’m a cabby but doing evangelism in the taxi to reach out to the Lord. Is a calling from God and I’ve been constantly sharing what I’ll learn from your sermon. I really wish 1 day there will be a Saddleback Church in Singapore. Our country needs a flesh touch from God.
We have receive all the promises from God, more then the the Lord’s disciples when He was walking on earth. But sad to said that Singapore is advance and we citizen are working day and night and many has turn cold and forgotten about the First Love.
Please pray for our country and pray for me as I continue to carry out the work to share the Words and there is limited that I can do.
Singapore is a country with mix culture. We are not a part of China and Singapore is a little island just beside Malaysia.
Thank Pastor for taking time to real my mail and may God continue to bless the work of your hand.
God Bless you.
Yours Sincerely,
Ivan Chong
