    2. @Curt W I know this is an old post, but I wonder if it’s something to do with the ad-libby style of the piano. I find it hard to find the beat in there, and then marry up the vocals.

    1. Personally, the inventor of paint stole the show for me as the place was majestically painted. 2nd would be the inventor of hairspray as the hair in the audience was stunning

    3. Interesting fact.
      As a child the piano player suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his hands.
      He tells how painful it was to learn to play in an interview.

    5. He was Anthony Burger who collapsed and died while performing on a Gaither Homecoming cruise out of Miami, February 2006 at the age of 44 due to heart failure. He died while doing something he loved, while blessing everyone who listened to him. He joined God’s heavenly choir that day.

    4. @Jordan C. Here David is singing fully live ans he has performed this song countless of times live. Mariah can’t sing live without prerecorded vocals and her songs are mostly studio creations where she cuts and pastes different parts to create climaxes and runs she can’t replicate live, apart from also enhancing her vocals to sound higher pitched.

    5. I had the Mariah Carey CD when it first came out, so I’m very familiar with her version. Obviously, she’s a phenomenal singer and did a fantastic job. But there’s something about David’s version that’s different. When I listen to Mariah’s version, I’m impressed with her talent. When I hear David’s version, I’m truly moved by the message of the song.

  4. David Phelps is astonishing! God gave him perfect vocal chords, perfect pitch, and a vocal range that’s incredible! To me, he’s the best singer on planet earth. Without a doubt!!

This song should remind us that regardless of how much muck and mire we may be confronted with, the promise of Christ was given to all of mankind that night. Some chains of oppression are seen, others are not recognized but the promise of freedom and grace was given. O Holy Night indeed!🙏
